Lee
Lee Roy Selmon blends the advantages of a scholarship to football in his family and community service. First of all, he was raised by Lucious Semon and his wife Jessie. They lived on a farm near Eufala within Oklahoma as one of the nine children they had. In second football, he was one of three brothers who played for Oklahoma. All three became All-America. The year 1973 was the first time Lee Roy and Lucious Jr. Dewey were the first-teamers for the entire year. Lee Roy has won both the Outland Award as well as the Lombardi award as the top lineman in America. Over the course of three seasons, Roy was on the field, Oklahoma won two National Championships. The National Football Foundation named him a Scholar-Athlete for the third time in the year 1975. Selmon earned a degree in education. Fourth service In the university Lee Roy devoted ten hours every week for volunteer activities. Following college, he moved to Tampa playing nine years for the Buccaneers were an all-pro three times before beginning an entrepreneurial career. The year 1988 was the first time he worked as an Account Relation Manager in the First Florida Bank in Tampa. He was employed by the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute as well as the Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. There was no doubt that the year 1982 was when the Junior Chamber of Commerce named Lee Roy as one of the 10 outstanding youngsters across the country. Lee Roy was 6'2" tall and weighed 265 lbs in the time he played football at college. He was a captain in 1975. led the squad. In 1993, he was appointed the associate director of Athletics at University of South Florida. He has been inducted in the College Football Hall of Fame since 1988. In 1989, the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation gave its Distinguished American Award, to Mr. Lucious Selmon and his wife. The award ceremony was conducted by Henry Bellmon govenor of Oklahoma.
