Taylor
Taylor Swift, the rarest pop sensation, is one who has managed to cross over from country music to mainstream culture, and has become an icon of the pop world. She also conquered all over the world through her music. Swift shed country like it was another layer, showing that she's perhaps the smartest pop-singer/songwriter her generation. One who can harness the zeitgeist to make it personal as well as perform in the opposite. Her talents could be seen in the first songs she released, most notably the Neodue Tim McGraw. But on the second album Fearless that came out in 2008, she discovered the person she was and reach audiences across the globe. Fearless went on to become a global hit, not only in the United States (where it received with six platinum awards for Top Ten Hits Love Story as well as "You Belong with Me") but in Canada, Australia as well as the U.K. and many other countries. Swift's next album, Speak Now, released nearly two years following the debut, further consolidated this success. The album propelled Swift to the heights of fame. In the three albums following (Reputation 2017, 1989 2014, and Red 2012) Red 2012 1989, Red 2012 along with Reputation 2017 -- her fame only grew. It was a clear indicator that Swift had entered the new music scene where she fit in. Although she slowed down her production with folklore, and Evermore albums in the year 2020, she was leading the way in pop music.
